Julie Bernstein, DO
Please welcome Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr. Julie Bernstein to our All Starr team!
Dr. Bernstein grew up in Southern Ohio where she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology at Shawnee State University. She went on to work as a County Behavioral Support Specialist before entering the medical field. Dr. Bernstein graduated medical school from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011, earning her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree, and subsequently pursued her passion for mental health, entering into her Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of South Alabama, where she ultimately completed her training in 2016. During these years, she served as Chief Resident to the General Psychiatry program. Dr. Bernstein is dual board certified as a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Bernstein has provided outpatient treatment working primarily in the community outpatient setting in Alabama prior to joining the All Starr team. Dr. Bernstein has experience in treating children and adolescents with Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Psychosis, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychiatric comorbidities.
